
Dairy farmers, consultants, and service providers are invited to attend field days focused on feeding high-oleic soybeans to dairy cattle. There will be multiple field days hosted across the state of Wisconsin. This event will feature a morning with expert presentations from University of Wisconsin Extension and Industry presenters, Q&A with dairy farmers and their advisors who are feeding high oleic soybeans, and lunch. This will be followed by an afternoon on farm with interactive activities.

Event Details
Field days will be offered at three locations across Wisconsin. For all locations, registration sign-in begins at 9:30 a.m., with the program beginning at 10:00 a.m. and running to approximately 2:30 p.m.
- August 18: Chippewa Valley Technical College Energy Education Center (Eau Claire) and Five-Star Dairy (Elk Mound)
- August 25: Brillion Nature Center (Brillion) and Woldt Dairy Farm (Brillion)
- August 31: Green County Justice Center (Monroe) and Spring Grove Dairy (Brodhead)
Field Day Highlights
- Expert Presentations: Learn from UW-Madison Extension specialists and industry professionals on key aspects of high-oleic soybean use for dairy cattle.
- Key Topics: High-oleic soybeans nutritional value, agronomic considerations, identity preservation, and the economics and best practices for roasting and processing.
- Farmer and Advisor Panel: Hear firsthand experiences from dairy producers and their advisors currently using high-oleic soybeans.
- On-Farm Learning: Participate in on-farm learning activities focused on storage, handling, roasting, and feeding high-oleic soybeans. Five-Star Dairy will feature a walk-through of their on-farm roasting set-up.
Registration and Cost
These field days are being offered at no cost thanks to generous sponsors including the United Soybean Board and Pioneer. Registration is required to gather accurate meal counts.
