UW-Madison Division of Extension is hosting calving workshops designed to help Dairy Farmers, Dairy Workers, and Beef Farmers.

• Neonatal calf care and colostrum management
• Cow nutrition and management pre- and post-calving (Dairy)
• Management strategies for beef cow nutrition, health and fertility
• Stages of Labor and signs to watch for – when to call for help
• Calving equipment options and function/ sanitation/ cleaning

When: October 24, 2026 from 10 am to 2 pm.

Cost: $20 per person

Participation is limited to the first 20 registrants who complete payment.

FARM Calf Management CEUs available.

Registration Deadlines: Registration and course fee must be received by October 16th for English-dominant participants. For participants who prefer Spanish or other interpretation requests, registration and course fee payment must be received by October 2nd.
