Diane Mayerfeld is the Sustainable Agriculture Coordinator for the Agriculture Institute in the Division of Extension. She helps educators and farmers learn about sustainable agriculture techniques and resources, including grants from the USDA Sustainable Agriculture Research and Education (SARE) Program. Areas of focus include perennial cropping systems, climate change, and working with diverse farmers.
Diane began working with Extension in 2006, Before then she worked for the Center for Integrated Agricultural Systems at UW-Madison developing a sustainable agriculture curriculum. Before coming to Madison she worked for Iowa State University Extension and the Connecticut Department of Environmental Protection.
