While there is no single right way to manage dairy herd reproduction, all farms must have a plan to 1) submit cow for first AI in a timely manner, and 2) identify non-pregnant cows to return to service. The goal of the Reproductive Skills – Cow Synchronization module is to:

• Provide an overview of the pro’s and con’s of estrus detection and utilizing a synchronization program
• Understand the difference between protocols to synchronize estrus and protocols to synchronize a timed AI
• Cover recommended protocols for Pre-Synch, Ovsynch, and Resynch
